Who Should take this course?
This DOT Hazmat: Basic General Awareness course is an introductory course for all employees involved in the transportation of hazardous materials. This course provides a basic introduction to General Awareness compared to the Advanced instruction that includes some General Awareness topics in greater detail.
All workers employed in an industry that involves the preparation or transportation of hazardous materials must have DOT General Awarenesstraining. This includes not just drivers and manufacturers, but anyone who manufactures, repairs, or reconditions containers used to transport hazardous materials.
This course also includes the DOT mandated Security Awareness training module.
