Course Overview
Who Should take this course?
This course is the Level I, Hazardous Materials Emergency Responder Training for OSHA HAZWOPER.
Per 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(i), First responders at the awareness level are individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release and who have been trained to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release. They would take no further action beyond notifying the authorities of the release.
Each student is shipped the most current version of the Department of Transportation (DOT), Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG), which is required to be used during this course. A downloadable version is also available to each student.
